Teofilo Reyes 2009.
The 2009 Teofilo Reyes is a pure Tempranillo from Manzanillo and Penafiel, from 10- to14-year-old vines and matured for 16 months in new and used American and French oak. It has a well-defined nose of dark cherries and boysenberry fruit with just a hint of soy. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, sweet entry of black cherries and bilberry fruit that leads to a clean, precise, focused finish. Fine. Drink now - 2016. Located in Penafiel, Bodegas Teofilo Reyes was founded in 1994 by Joan Jose and Luis Reyes, their father Teofilo who had been working the vines for a half-century, working alongside as technical director. They exploit 60 hectares of vineyard augmented by out-sourced fruit, and their wines are fermented in stainless steel before maturation in French and American casks."

De Reyes blikt in niets uit maar hij heeft ook geen echte minpunten ... een allemansvriend zou ik hem niet noemen daar heeft hij met 90 punten wel wat tekort.
16 maanden barrica d.w.z. dat ik hem ergens in 2011 heb gekocht ... de prijs heb ik wel bijgehouden n.l. €11.89 transport incl.
